Network simulation software is a must have for anyone in the network field or in pursuit of their certification.
There are two different network simulation software that I use
Boson NetSim Lab Simulator
Not free but includes a selective range of routers and switches without the need for downloading the ISO
Includes guided labs depending on which certification you wish to attain
GNS3
Free!
You will have to download IOS images and apply before you can config any Cisco router
No guided lab but a vast community where you can get support
